Here are my five elements and principles of design.
This picture reveals space. The up-close cookie portrays a vast amount of space as the soccer field is shown in the back.
This picture revels texture. Looking closely, you can see the fur on my dog, which portrays a soft-like texture.
This picture reveals balance. As the picture portrays donuts throughout the picture, it looks even and equal, making them seem balanced throughout.
This picture portrays contrast. The keyboard is blue and the lady bug is red, therefore, making the lady bug stand out.
This picture portrays value. The lightness and darkness of this picture makes some parts pop more than others.

An extension activity I would do with elements and principles of design within the classroom would be to have my students relate it to math. For example, when learning about line segments or distances, I would have the students take a picture of each that correlates to the lesson and principles of design. I would come up with a list, such as "distance of 20 feet, lines, etc" and the students would take pictures of each and show their own creative pictures to the class.
