This piece is my footprint introduction.
The materials shown on this cutout of my foot include: AC logo (I went to Central High School), Aberdeen newspaper cutout (hometown), Red Rooster logo (I love to read in coffee shops), a dog (I have a German Shepherd), a girl playing soccer (I played soccer in high school), and the word "faith"(plays a huge role in my life).
What I did to create this piece was use construction paper as the cutout of my foot. I then found materials that related to myself through the newspaper. I then added color with different markers and designs.
This project could easily be integrated into another subject by having students present on a certain topic. For instance, in a social studies class, students can present information on World War II or George Washington. Students can cut out a specific main idea, such as a hat for George Washington, and use different materials, such as newspaper, magazines, designs, etc., to display information to present to the class.
